It also covers the importance of understanding team-work; learning about systems that help health care learn from errors; the importance of communication between health care and patients; practical actions to take to bring constant and active awareness of patient safety issues to all staff; why medication safety is important and how incorrect medication use can put patients at risk; and about the impact of health care acquired infections and the four types of infection causing the majority of problems.
The final test includes 33 multiple choice questions. You must achieve 75% to pass.
